We had 2 sold-out shows Oct 11 and 12, 2024 at the Hard Rock Live in Tulsa and received standing O's for both shows!
What an honor it was for us to have Academy Award recipient Wes Studi playing Attakullakulla, who was the Peace Chief of Chota and also Nanyehi’s uncle! To make things more amazing, on Jan 16, 2024, it was revealed on the PBS show “Finding Your Roots,” that Wes is a fellow Nancy Ward descendant! It was absolutely wonderful to see him play the role of his 6th-great grandmother’s uncle! Cheyenne Gagner and Tommy Cummings reprised their roles as Nanyehi and Dragging Canoe, and the legendary Winnie Guess Perdue reprised her role as Elder Nanyehi. We had a cast of 46 actors, many of whom have been in our cast before.
Special thanks to Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin, Jr., former Principal Chief Bill John Baker, Cherokee Nation Businesses, and the fabulous crew at the Hard Rock Live at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
